Our Mission
Bessie Bee apiaries' mission is to embrace the honey bee as an integral part of our ecosystem and as a vital resource for pollination which affects 1/3 of the world's food production.
Our goal is to establish strong honey bee and native bee populations following best practice strategies in bee husbandry and utilizing organic practices on our farm. Bees are supported by organic gardens and natural flora to avoid exposure to neonicotinoids and pesticides and antibiotics. Our honey is unpasteurized preserving antimicrobials and pollen content and is sold to local markets and a variety of local stores or by order.
Our Process
All of our honey is produced on our family farm. We personally perform all hive management to honey extraction, with commitment to ethical and organic practices and the preservation of natural habitat.
